1. Legislate to strengthen demarcation between political leadership and bureaucracy; and support for enforcement of policy.

The fine line between policy makers and the bureaucracy becomes weak as politicians meddle too much with the bureaucratic processes. This creates an avenue for corruption and a weakening of the very systems that are supposed to serve us better.

2. Repeal of the DDA Act and Promote Single-line Budget for Province and District.

The DDA Act promoted discord among provinces and their districts with uncoordinated efforts in effective service delivery. Provinces will submit one budget, comprising all its district line-budget to Treasury annually.

3. Legislate to have political parties amend their constitutions to have 50% of their endorsed candidates to be women.

People’s Party believes in women in leadership and will ensure laws are amended to have more women contesting in elections and have higher chances of being elected rather than being treated as a separate class by creating reserve seats for women.
