Every foreign investor must bring in at least K10 million equivalent to start businesses in PNG. All retailing businesses must be restricted to nationals. People’s Party will legislate and enforce reserve businesses for nationals.

3. Land Ownership and Management.

No more land purchases by foreigners or foreign owned companies. All undeveloped free-hold land by foreigners will be relinquished to the State. Leases to foreign-owned companies will be conditional on using land for business only and not for developing rental properties.

4. Strong Laws and Enforcement

Laws will be enforced with a strong policing and judicial system.

 

5. Smart Policing

Policing will be modernised to use cutting-edge technology to make up for our geographical constraints and low police-population ratio.

6. Partnership with Australia Federal Police to Improve Policing

We must swallow our pride, acknowledge our failures in policing and accept we need assistance to get back on track by allowing the Australian Federal Police (AFP) to come in and partner with our Royal PNG Constabulary to improve policing standards, institutions, culture and capacity.
